Dr. Katie James
Dr. James has a special approach to dentistry because of the many hours she spent in the dental chair as a child and young adult. Her teeth required extensive orthodontic treatment, and later, reconstructive jaw surgery to correct a congenital jaw defect and a less than ideal bite.
Dr. James grew up in Plano, Texas from the age of five and she is proud to call this city her home once again. Dr. James believes that is truly a privilege to be able to provide treatment and education for her patients and their families. Dr. James is committed to using the safest, most resilient and advanced materials and techniques for her patients’ oral healthcare needs. She is a board member for the Dallas Chapter of The Academy of General Dentistry, a professional organization that allows general dentists to continually educate themselves and master all disciplines of general dentistry.
Katie and her husband Daniel, who works in marketing, have been married since 2015. The two actually graduated from high school together, but did not meet until several years later when they were introduced by mutual friends. Katie and Daniel enjoy an active lifestyle and whether it’s skiing or hiking, they love to be outdoors. They also enjoy cooking and trying new restaurants, going to local concerts, playing with their pug mix Polly, and spending time with family and friends.
